Computer Labs

The computer labs offer a variety of hardware, software, and personal support services. There are two labs available that can be used by students during open hours or can be reserved by faculty for closed session classroom use. The room numbers for the labs are PS016 (18 computers) and PS014 (15 computers). The labs are designed for instructional purposes and have an instructor workstation that includes a computer with a LCD color projector, a whiteboard, and a laser printer. Lab PS016 also has a video capture workstation with a flatbed scanner.

Software services include Office XP (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), Visual Studio, FrontPage, AutoCAD, SPSS, and numerous other software applications. Since all of the computers are networked, students have access to the Internet, Oncourse, and electronic mail services. The local area network also provides students with personal access to server space that can be used to store files or setup web pages.

Labs are generally accessible during operating hours when not scheduled for classroom use. In general, the computer labs are open during morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours throughout the semester. Labs are not open during campus holidays or Sundays. For actual operating hours, please refer to the postings outside the lab rooms.

If you require additional information, contact the lab technician in Room PS001 or call (812) 941-2476.
