MET Educational Objectives—Associate of Science Program

The Educational Objectives for the New Albany location of the Purdue
University MET Associate Degree Program are to produce graduates who:

1. Are prepared to become mechanical and manufacturing engineering technicians.
2. Possess appropriate skills, knowledge, and motivation to work effectively on diverse multidisciplinary industrial teams to plan production processes, and design or modify products for specific applications.
3. Have careers in areas such as project planning, product support, manufacturing operations and technical services, and have the potential to continue their education or be promoted to more responsible positions.
