Professional Profile
Tim Cooley is an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Technology Department at Purdue University. He has over 14 years of industrial experience and holds two patents. He has taught a wide range of courses including Fluid Power, Heat Power, Analytical & Computational Methods, AutoCAD, Manufacturing Processes, Production Design & Specification, Occupational Safety & Health, and Mechanical Jigs & Fixtures.
Professor Cooley is a member of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (1981) and a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering (1984) from the University of Oklahoma. In addition, he holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Indiana University and an Associates Degree in Automotive Mechanics.
Professor Cooley joined the MET Department of Purdue University in July 2000 focusing on fluid mechanics, heat transfer and computational methods. Besides teaching on-campus courses, Professor Cooley is also a consultant/trainer to local industry.
