The Purdue Polytechnic Dean's Lecture Series launched with an inaugural event on February 15. The session, hosted by Daniel Castro, dean of Purdue Polytechnic (the college for technology at Purdue University), was titled “How to Become a Successful Author of Publications in High-Impact Scholarly Research Journals: An Editor’s Perspective.”

The guest lecturer was Mirosław J. Skibniewski, a professor of project management at the University of Maryland and editor in chief of “Automation in Construction”—recognized as one of the most impactful journals in its field.

The lecture marked the beginning of a series designed to foster interdisciplinary research dialogues and address global challenges, with insights from Skibniewski, a leading figure in academic publishing.
