Biography:

Dr. Mara H. Wasburn is associate professor of Organizational Leadership Purdue University. She earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration at Purdue University in 1998. She  also holds a Masters degree in Higher Education Administration from Purdue and a Bachelor of Music degree from Jordan College of Music, Butler University. Dr. Wasburn teaches OLS 454 Gender and Diversity in Management, OLS 467 Service Learning, and OLS 583 Coaching and Mentoring in Organizations.  Her research focuses on mentoring, paricularly mentoring women in non-traditional disciplines.

Since 2002, she has been elected to Board positions of increasing responsibility in the Women in Engineering Division of the American Society for Engineering Education. Presently she serves as Program Chair and was elected to become Chair of that division in 2010. She is Co-PI on a 3-year National Science Foundation Gender in Science and Engineering grant. At Purdue, she serves on the Purdue University Press Board and was elected to the Steering Committee of the University Senate.
