What made you decide to choose your specific major?

I liked the hands-on learning they have with the courses. Having applied theory lessons is how I learn so automatically the Polytechnic is something I found interest in.

What are a couple of your favorite things about your program of study?

I like how I'm able to easily double major and take other classes in other majors and just the ability to network easily within the department.

What has been one of your favorite class projects?

I love the Tech 101 class for the women in technology learning community. Mrs. Toni is a wonderful teacher and provides professional and academic help for any situation like resume's and setting up your academic schedule.

What other activities are you involved in on campus?

I'm involved in WIT(women in technology), MTA(minority technology association), WITty sisters, and BST-SAT(boiler student success team). Always strive to join a club that will help you professionally, academically, and socially.

What do you know about your program of study now that you wish someone had told you when you were choosing a major?

I wish someone would have let me know about the great labs that they have here, and the resources they have to help you succeed. Also, the difference between computer science and CIT, since everyone gets the two confused all the time.

What would be one piece of advice for prospective students or new Purdue students?

Just go with the flow! College is the time to figure out how your going to run your life once you leave and get a job, so take in every lesson life gives you.
