Costs | Financial Aid | Indiana-Ohio Tuition Reciprocity Agreement
COSTS
Costs of courses are determined by the number of credit hours of the course(s) taken. Credit hours are assigned to courses based on the number of lecture hours per week (typically 3 hours). Students are charged tuition (a fee) per credit hour. Purdue University College of Technology students pay the same tuition as Indiana University East students. Purdue University College of Technology students pay their fees to the Indiana University East Bursar.

FINANCIAL AID
Purdue University recognizes that not all students and their parents can afford to finance a college education entirely from their income and assets. To ensure that all students have an opportunity to obtain a college education regardless of their financial circumstances, the university, through the Division of Financial Aid, administers a fourfold program of scholarships, grants, loans, and employment opportunities.
Most types of aid are based upon financial need and satisfactory academic progress. To be considered for federally subsidized grants (e.g., Pell grants) and loans (e.g., Stafford loans), you must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the federal processor designating Purdue University-West Lafayette (School Code: 001825) as a recipient of the analysis. By submitting a FAFSA, you are applying to the Pell grant program. Unlike loans, students are not required to repay grants. The FAFSA form can be obtained from a local high school guidance office, the Purdue University College of Technology office on the IU East campus (Middlefork Hall, Room 140) or the Office of Financial Aid, Schleman Hall, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana 47907. The most expedient and efficient means of submitting a FAFSA is through the website: www.fafsa.ed.gov
The FAFSA must be received by the Federal Processor by March 10 to be eligible for maximum financial aid for the coming academic year (fall spring summer semesters). FAFSA's will still be accepted through June 30 of the following year, although less aid may be available at that point.
The State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana (SSACI) offers grants to Indiana residents who demonstrate financial need and are attending Indiana colleges and universities. To be eligible for this State of Indiana aid for the upcoming academic year:
- The student must be fully admitted to a Purdue University certificate or degree program, and
- The student's FAFSA must be received by the federal processor by March 10.

After fulfilling the requirements listed above, the Purdue University Office of Financial Aid in West Lafayette will notify you of any federal/state grants awarded and of eligibility for loans.

Indiana-Ohio Tuition Reciprocity Agreement
The Indiana-Ohio Tuition Reciprocity Agreement expires on 06/30/08. If it is renewed, details will be posted.
Continuing students who have participated in the Agreement should contact the Purdue College of Technology office (Middlefork Hall, Room 140) for the latest information on how tuition will be calculated in the future.
