Richmond Purdue 400 Club

All contributions to the Purdue University components of the Campaign for Community will be credited toward membership in the Richmond Purdue 400 Club.

Purdue University's College of Technology is globally viewed as one of the largest and most renowned technology schools. It also produces the highest number of baccalaureate technology graduates in the U.S. each year.

This same College resides in east central Indiana and is recognized on the state level, having served the educational and workforce needs of Indiana citizens for four decades. Established in 1964, the School's statewide locations have produced almost 2,700 graduates, of whom nearly 74 percent reside in Indiana following graduation.

Support your Purdue students

Currently, about 25 percent of the College's 6,000 students are enrolled outside of the West Lafayette campus at seven Indiana locations - Anderson/Indianapolis, Columbus/Southeast IN, Kokomo/Lafayette, New Albany, Richmond, and South Bend/Elkhart.

The rising cost of education is a deterrent for many of these students planning to pursue a degree. By participating in the Purdue 400 Club, you have the opportunity to locally support Purdue and the educational pursuits of community members - both traditional-age and adult students-at the College of Technology location in Richmond.

Richmond

The Purdue College of Technology's presence in Richmond began in 1966 on the Earlham College campus with the offering of an associate degree in mechanical engineering technology. Now located on the Indiana University East campus, the College serves about 150 students from ten Indiana and two Ohio counties. Degrees and certificates are available in four technology disciplines-Computer Graphics Technology, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, and Organizational Leadership and Supervision.

Faculty and Staff

Instructional and support staff for the Richmond location includes four full-time faculty members and three full-time staff members, assisted by experienced part-time faculty.

How to Join the 400 Club

An annual contribution of $400 per couple, or $200 per individual, establishes your membership in the Purdue 400 Club. All 400 Club contributions directly benefit students at the School of Technology location of your choice.

You benefit too

In addition to rewarding an exceptional student or helping a student in financial need, Indiana residents will qualify for the Indiana Tax Credit. Your donation may also qualify as a charitable donation on your Federal Income Tax. Contact your tax advisor.

• The credit is available even if you are a taxpayer who does not itemize deductions on the federal return.
• The tax credit directly reduces the "bottom line" of the state income tax return, either decreasing the amount owed or increasing the refund.
• For a joint return, the maximum credit is $200 (based on a gift of $400 or more); for a single return, the maximum credit is $100 (for a gift of $200 or more).
• Other rules apply, so read the CC-40 instructions carefully or consult your tax advisor.
• The CC-40 tax form is available at locations that stock other Indiana tax forms. Also, you may download the form on the Internet at www.in.gov/dor/taxforms or call Purdue at (765) 494-7624 to request a CC-40 form.
