<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-pagination: none; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt;">Jon-Eric Eliker, who
received a bachelor's degree in computer and information technology at the
College of Technology at Kokomo, was named one of Oracle's deputy CTOs for 2008.
Eliker was acknowledged by Oracle for his deep understanding of the Oracle
platform and the vision he has used to solve clients' business challenges.&nbsp;Oracle
recognizes a select group of Oracle technical architects based on their
delivery of services and solutions to customers using Oracle technology. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-pagination: none; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt;">Eliker
is a solution consultant with Frontline Logic, located in the Inventrek
Technology Park. The Kokomo Howard County Development Corp., in collaboration
with Purdue University and Indiana University, Kokomo, established Inventrek to
encourage the development of high-tech businesses in Kokomo and Howard County.</span></p>

A new bachelor's degree program in industrial technology will allow students to take courses at Vincennes University, but receive a degree from Purdue. The program, jointly administered by the two universities, will prepare graduates for jobs in advanced manufacturing.</p>

Located at the Indianapolis International Airport, the college will host three luncheons at the Aviation Technology Center (ATC) on Fridays, February 20 and 27 and March 6.</p>
<p>Students will view a presentation about the college&rsquo;s programs offered at the ATC, have lunch, and receive tours of the ATC and a behind-the-scenes tour of the new Indianapolis International Airport Terminal.&nbsp;</p>
<p>IUPUI students may enroll in several Purdue College of Technology courses as free elective credit in their degree program. The luncheon will serve as an opportunity for IUPUI students to become familiar with the ATC and Purdue&rsquo;s educational offerings.</p>
<p>Due to tour size restrictions at the Airport, there is a limit to the number of attendees for the luncheons. Student who would like to attend, should RSVP to Matt Ferrell at ferrellm@purdue.edu.</p>
