ECET10700 and ECET15700 Lab Handout Updates for Multisim

Between the spring and fall of 2009, the ECET department transitioned to using Multisim (a National Instruments product) for schematic capture and circuit simulation in the freshman analog circuits courses. Since the schematic capture function of the old simulation package was used to create dozens of figures for the lab handouts, Professor Harding needed to generate dozens of new figures for them.

Two undergraduate students, Sean Hagan and Nathan Strozier, volunteered to help with the effort. The three of them created 32 Visio drawings, 24 Multisim simulations and associated circuit schematics, and a Multisim tutorial, all of which were used in ECET10700 and ECET15700 beginning with the 2009-2010 academic year. A paper on the effort was published at the 2011 American Society for Engineering Education North Central and Illinois-Indiana Section Conference in April 2011 (click here to see the paper).
