Organizational Leadership and Supervision (OLS)

Organizational Leadership and Supervision (OLS) is a highly individualized, practical, people-oriented approach to the practice of supervision. In addition to management skills, students gain a technical background in a specialty area of their choice such as operations or quality control. Students have the opportunity to learn not only management/supervisory skills, but also to pursue a technical background in a specialty area of their choice. The OLS program provides students with tried-and-true, traditional leadership methods and the latest cutting-edge concepts.

Special Opportunities

There are three OLS programs available: Bachelor of Science, Associate of Science and the Organizational Leadership Certificate.

The bachelor of science is a four year degree program. The associate of science degree program and the organizational leadership certificate are designed to meet the needs of people who wish to improve themselves educationally and professionally through the development of basic supervisory skills. The programs are designed for those who are employed full time and wish to pursue their education. People who are already in supervisory positions as well as those who want to equip themselves for upward mobility into supervisory levels are encouraged to choose from these programs. Courses taken in these two programs can be applied towards the Bachelor of Science degree.

Careers

OLS graduates are career-ready for leadership roles in business, industry, and service agencies. Graduates can apply their OLS credentials to a wide variety of leadership and managerial positions in areas such as customer service, human resource management, process engineering, production control, quality control, supervision, training and development, and technical sales.
