FTP Access for Career Account H Drives
**Only Semester Account H drives are located on School of Technology Servers. If you are a Technology Major you will not have an H drive on our system.
IMPORTANT:
You MUST prefix your username with SOT\ to be able to ftp into any of the below servers. If your username is "jqpublic", then you MUST enter your username as "SOT\jqpublic" when prompted by the FTP server. Thank you.
FTP Access to Technology Class Directories(G:), and Semester Account Home Directories is available and described below.
The Class Directories(G:) can be found at sotclass1.tech.purdue.edu
Non-Technology Students with Semester Accounts
If you have a generic semester account such as TCNXXX your home directory is located on:
sotdlock3.tech.purdue.edu
- When submitting via FTP to a course submission/dropbox folder, you can use IE as follows:
- Ensure that the Advanced Option 'Enable folder view for FTP sites' is Checked.
- When connecting via IE, be sure to use ftp:// (similar to http://) For example:
- ftp://sotclass1.tech.purdue.edu is the G Drive
- ftp://sotdlock3.tech.purdue.edu is the H Drive for Semester Accounts Only
- Enter your TCN username and password (prefix username with sot\)
- Navigate to the course folder.
- Then you should be able to drag and drop files or folders into the correct folder.
