Jorge Zurita-Valdebenito, original from Chile has 5 + years of experience in the industry as well as academia. Worked for top-non metallic mining company Imerys SpA in his home country in 2017. Once he moved to get further education Mr. Zurita-Valdebenito worked for Alliance Automation LLC as Controls Design Engineer / Research & Development Engineer (2020). Mr. Zurita-Valdebenito worked in 2021 as Manufacturing Controls Engineer for Abbott Rapid Diagnostics contributing to maintain the machinery that produce the COVID-19 rapid test kit at Abbott's plant in Scarborough, Maine. Also in 2021, he worked full time as Assistant Professor for the Advanced Automation and Robotics and Industrial Technology departments at Ivy Tech Community College Richmond. In 2022, Jorge joined Purdue University Polytechnic Institute Richmond/Anderson campuses as Visiting Assistant Professor for the School of Engineering Technology SoET. Jorge is happily married to Hannah since 2020, and they love spending time together with their dog Fernando.
